Is counseling right for me?

Almost anyone can benefit from counseling! You are not alone - each year, one in five adults in the US experiences mental health concerns. Annually, millions of people seek treatment and counseling. Please read over our FAQs and when you're ready to take the next step, contact us to get started.

Where are you located?

Oaks Family Counseling is located at 1204 NW 69th Terr, Suite F in the 1204 Professional Building off Newberry Road, behind the Red Lobster.  We also provide virtual sessions.

Do you offer Telehealth?

Yes, we have many counselors who offer virtual appointments to keep you safe and fit your busy schedule.

Do you have any openings?

Yes!  You don't have to wait several months to get in with us!  We typically have appointments available quickly, usually in a month or less, depending on your availability. Contact us today to schedule your first appointment.

Do you have appointments to fit my schedule?

We offer morning, afternoon and some evening or weekend appointments to fit your schedule. We are currently seeing clients both in-person or virtually through a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform.

Do you take walk-ins?

We see clients by appointment only.  We want to give our scheduled clients our full attention so we cannot accept walk-ins. Contact us today to schedule your first appointment.

Do you take insurance?

Yes!! We currently take United Healthcare & United Healthcare Student Resources Plan with the University of Florida, Cigna, FL Blue, BCBS, and Federal BCBS, Aetna, Avmed, Anthem, Oxford, and Oscar Health. If we don't take your insurance you pay the out of pocket fees but Superbills can be provided for your convenience to attempt insurance reimbursement.

How much does counseling cost?

Do you offer a sliding scale for fees?

A limited number of sliding scale sessions and discounted fees are available based on request, availability and demonstrated financial need.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, debit cards, credit cards, HSA cards, Venmo, and payments through Square and Stripe.

Do I have to sign a contract or commit to a certain number of counseling sessions?

No! We're not a cell phone company!! If you want to keep seeing the counselor, then keep scheduling your appointments.  If you need to stop for any reason, just let us know.
