Parent-Child Reunification Therapy

We provide parent-child reunification therapy for parents who wish to reunite with their child or want to reestablish a relationship with their child, especially after divorce. The process is aimed at repairing a damaged or strained relationship so the parent and child can work towards healthy interactions in the future. Therapy consists of working with the parent and child separately to help build skills needed to strengthen the relationship. The therapist can also incorporate sessions with the parent and child to encourage positive interactions and to learn in real time how best to interact with each other to aid in continued growth and progress. We can provide monitored exchanges so a child can participate in reunification therapy even when the parents cannot have any contact. When the time is right, we can also provide supervised visitation so the child and parent can take their new skills and healthy relationship out in the community on field trips together.
