Nic earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University and brings a compassionate, genuine approach to her work. Before becoming a counselor, she worked as a family law paralegal, where she developed a deep understanding of how life transitions and relationships impact emotional well-being.
Nic provides individual, group, and family counseling, using a variety of evidence-based approaches to meet each client’s unique needs. Her work is grounded in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She has a special interest in supporting individuals facing substance use challenges and guiding them toward recovery and personal growth.
Originally from Denver, Colorado, Nic relocated to Florida three years ago to be closer to her family. She enjoys spending time and sharing meaningful conversations with her sisters, who also work in the mental health field. Outside of her professional life, Nic loves spending time with her children, exercising, listening to audiobooks, and working on home renovation and decorating projects.
