Jonah earned his bachelor's degree at the University of South Carolina before moving to Florida and completing a Master's and Specialist degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Florida. In addition to being a therapist, Jonah teaches at the University of Florida as an adjunct professor.
Jonah provides individual therapy to children, adolescents, college students, and adults. During his time in graduate school, he interned at Queen of Peace Academy, Gainesville High School, and UF Health Psychiatric Hospital (Shands Vista), giving him experience with clients of all ages and struggles. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Adlerian principles, Jonah takes a warm, collaborative approach that empowers clients to better understand themselves and create meaningful change.
Jonah has a special passion for helping young boys, adolescent boys, and men with their mental health journeys. As a male therapist, Jonah understands firsthand the unique challenges many males face, and he strives to create a space where clients feel comfortable, understood, and able to be themselves. Whether talking about the everyday stressors of life, school, relationships, career pressures, or sports, he uses shared experiences and relatable interests to help clients feel more at ease from the very first session.
In his free time, Jonah loves spending time with family and friends, going to the gym, training Jiu-Jitsu, and cooking.
