Masters Level Social Work Clinician

Kahlia (she/her) is a compassionate therapist dedicated to helping adolescents and adults navigate mental health diagnosis’ such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and Autism. Additionally, she addresses the complexities of grief, shame, emotion regulation, life transitions, relational challenges, discrimination, values/identity exploration, and personality awareness. With clinical skills in crisis counseling and intervention, she is also well-equipped to support clients who are experiencing suicidal ideations and engaging in self-harming behaviors.

Uniquely, drawing from her extensive experience as a former elite athlete, Kahlia understands the pressures and challenges associated with disordered eating and body dysmorphia. She incorporates this rare perspective into her practice to help others (both athletes and non-athletes) overcome these issues.

Kahlia offers a collaborative therapeutic approach that integrates humanistic, systemic, and cognitive-behavioral models. This blend creates a warm and nurturing yet challenging and educational environment.

Kahlia has dedicated a significant portion of both her professional and personal life to establishing safe and inclusive environments for individuals in underserved communities. She actively contributes to community support initiatives for individuals with physical and psychosocial disabilities, and continuously seeks opportunities to advocate for and support marginalized groups and identities as an ally.

Kahlia holds a Master’s and Specialist degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Florida. Outside of her work, she enjoys traveling, skateboarding, trying new restaurants and cocktail bars with friends, and attending live sporting/music events. Fun fact… she's Australian!
