Shayce (she/her/hers) earned her Education Specialist and Master of Education degrees in Marriage and Family Counseling at the University of Florida, as well as her bachelor’s in psychology. She is currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Counseling and Counselor Education at UF with extensive experience teaching and mentoring students and supporting them as they adjust to college life and life after graduation. She provides counseling and coaching services for children, teens, and adults.

 

Described by her clients as a good listener, authentic, trustworthy, and down-to-earth, she looks for ways to empower her clients and provide a safe space for healing. Shayce especially enjoys working with children, young adults, families, seniors, and athletes. She brings her own lived experience with parenting, sports, career transitions, and illness and loss within the family to counseling and understands how challenging it can be to navigate life transitions or be a caregiver.

Fueled by a deep commitment to holistic well-being, Shayce employs a range of therapeutic methods to assist clients in managing stress and anxiety, addressing anger issues, mental health challenges, and grief and loss. Her focus lies in trauma-informed care, where she integrates evidence-informed practices from cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and family systems.

 

Calling Central Florida home, Shayce enjoys spending time with her daughters, going to the beach, practicing martial arts, and equestrian sports.
