Transitioning back to school from summer is hard anytime, but it's even harder when a lot of the students have been home for over a year. Now is a great time to look for ways we can be there for our children each day. Maybe that means we help them work through a meltdown when we cut their sandwich in squares instead of triangles or we turn on some music and have a dance party when they are feeling stressed. The more we tune into their emotional needs now, the better they can work through this adjustment period.
