Cristin Small

Counselor

Cristin Small (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She graduated with her Bachelor's Degree from Dalhousie University and her Masters Degree in Clinical Counseling from Webster University. She has been working in the Counseling and Recreational Therapy fields for over 25 years. She has worked with clients of all ages and in many different settings including private practice, youth programs, therapeutic group homes, and in a women's in prison. She has a true passion for helping others heal and find their love for life.  She uses a variety of therapeutic techniques including CBT, DBT, Existential Therapy, and trauma-informed care in her practice and strives to help her clients gain new coping skills and different ways to look at their life experiences. She also believes a strong therapeutic relationship is key and often brings humor into sessions. 

Cristin provides counseling for adults, college students and high school students. She especially enjoys helping women feel empowered and helping others find their place in the world. 

In her free time, Cristin enjoys spending time at the beach, being outside, doing yoga, and traveling. She is Canadian but is excited to have recently become an American Citizen!
