Cheryl O'Connell
Counselor
Cheryl (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the State of Florida. She is also a Qualified Supervisor for Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns. Cheryl attended Central Michigan University and received her Master of Arts Degree in Professional Counseling. Cheryl also attended Capella University for several post-Master’s classes.
Cheryl has considerable experience and training in mental health counseling, and she worked with clients in outpatient and in home settings. Cheryl has experience working with adults, children, couples and families. She specializes in working with clients who are experiencing life changes, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, including domestic violence, family issues, as well as clients who are looking to improve their day-to-day functioning. She uses the “oxygen mask” concept to empower clients to healthfully and proactively address and meet their own needs and goals. Cheryl works with adults, teens, and families via telehealth.
In utilizing her own “oxygen mask”, Cheryl enjoys sunset beach walks, visiting with her daughter and niece, and playing with her grandcat Opal Rose.
