Wendy (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and counselor.  She graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology from St. Leo University. She then received a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from Florida State University.

Wendy provides individual therapy for adults, college students, children, adolescents, and families.  Her experience includes working in the public school system as a child and family counselor, working with substance abuse and co-occurring issues with UF Health, working on the UF Health Adolescent Psychiatric Unit and working privately with adults, children, and families. Wendy is also certified as a Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist.

Her counseling  sessions often focus on gaining coping skills, reframing negative thoughts, mindfulness training/self-calming strategies, healing from past trauma and anxiety or depression reduction.  She has an empathic and flexible approach to counseling and likes to meet the client where they are and help them progress to where they'd like to be.  She also provides guidance and practical suggestions/tools while valuing the needs and opinion of the client.

In her free time, Wendy enjoys spending time with her friends and family (which includes her husband of 28 years and her daughter and son-in-law, three cats and one dog). Wendy loves working in her gnome garden and anything vintage or retro! She is super excited to welcome her first grandchild before the end of the year!
